I'm not gonna delete anything because I want to keep it as a record, in case I want to come back and look at anything I wrote on a certain occasion or whatever. I'll be working on re-adding everyone after school today, as well as making a post asking people if they'd like to be added to my filters (since I'll obviously have to re-create those).

~Pensive

He paid me, I drew it, and we agreed to meet up at a local anime convention the next week so I could give it to him. This was the first time he and I ever met in RL, and our friendship only grew after that until he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes on July 10th.

Now, almost an entire year later, we're still together. That convention is coming up again so I thought it'd be a cool idea to re-draw the badge that brought us together. I'm so happy with how much I've improved in a year, and while I know Don will never throw away the first badge I'm glad he'll have something...better....to wear this year. ;)

Love you, babe. <3

-----------------------------------------------

In other news, forever ago I was commissioned by my now-buddy sigmawolf21 to draw him some concept art for a fursuit he wanted. I helped him design it (though he made some changes afterwards, which made it even more awesome) and then the wait began. Today, Furr Happens finished Sigma's suit and HOLY CRAP does it look awesome! I know it isn't /my/ suit but there's an amazing feeling knowing that my art was used to help make that. Eeee. Congrats, Sigma! <3 I want pics someday! ;)

I still owe these people a badge from TFF:

9) Sugar (for Stria)
11) Amara
12) VVolf
14) SilentPhantom
16) Dev Raccoon
17) Glass Ferret
18) Comter
19) Romani
21) Skittles (for Crys)
22) Skylor

But honestly, I don't think the badges will ever be done. However, I'd feel bad having said I'd draw y'all something and then not doing it, so if any of you still want art I'm willing to do digital icons instead of badges (because I finish digital art A LOT faster than traditional art).

SO. If you're on that list and would like an icon instead comment here again with your ref and I'll get those done in between other stuff I'm working on (since the other things I owe are sorta on hold right now, while I wait for the people to give me their refs/information/etc).

Example of what you'd be getting: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2240717

A lot of my friends have been down in the dumps lately, dealing with a lot of crap (which I totally understand). So, for all of you guys...even if you don't like country music just listen to this:

<lj-embed id="16" />

-hums it- It's a good way to look at things, eh? But, then, my life motto has always been that everything that happens happens for a reason. That's why I have trouble staying mad about anything for long...I guess it just doesn't feel worth it, to me. Sure, I get depressed and wanna mope about...but everything passes eventually.

Brevi tempore omnia praeteribunt.
In a short time, all will pass.

Hey guys, I've spent a few hours today spiffing up the Best Paw Forth website. Mostly just updating photos and pages and the like, as well as a bit of the text. Looks quite a bit better now. However, before I can update either of your bio pages I need some better photos of Moxie and Blox (and Pen Collie, if you want her added as well) that don't have other people in them. Can you link me to a few so I can update your pages? :D

Yesterday was absolutely awesome. The interview thing for the school newspaper went really well and everyone liked Milkyway and kept asking how she was made. I came home from school to find FLOWERS from Don, which really made me smile (I'll get a photo or two for myself later, and post them here if anyone wants to see). <3 Also got Prom tickets for myself and Don, after waiting in line for over 30 minutes through the chaos. Yay!

And TODAY...I checked the UPS website and Melody is out for delivery so she'll be here sometime today (hopefully around the time I get home...I'd hate for the box to sit on my porch all day D8). I'm going to Don's house today after he gets off work. He needs to fix a tear in the crotch of black and white bodysuit (from stretching too far...oops!) so we can get photos of Melody tonight. :D

So yeah. Yesterday was really good, and I get the feeling today is gonna be just as good. -tail wags-

I just finished the ears and I was about to go make the eyes, the only thing left to do (apart from the spots, but those can wait)...and it occurred to me that most of my fursuit-making supplies are at Don's house. Including my buckram and plastic bowls. GAH.

I guess I'll be taking Milkyway instead. xD Ah well. BUT HEY, Angie! Good news is, your head WILL be done today. Bad news is...I can't finish it until Don can come over and bring my plastic bowls and buckram. I'll take an eye-less photo for you, though, when I get home from school today. :) She's looking cuteeeeee.

We only got to stay for 2 hours, though, because Don had work stuff to do. :/ While we /were/ there, though, we only got to see one show but it was HOLY CRAP AWESOME. :D And I suited almost the entire time (except during the show, so I could see :P), and got really mixed reactions...a lot of "what the...!?" expressions, one or two people were like "oh god...furry", and a lot of people liked the suit and wanted photos. The weird thing is...everyone thought I was a fox! A few people guessed wolf so I guess that's atleast a little closer, but still...fox!? WTF!? How many gray and brown, semi floppy-eared, SPOTTED foxes do /you/ know, eh? :P Ah well....atleast most of the /kids/ got it right lol.

Cute moment of the day: a little kid saw me from behind and asked her mom "Can I pet the doggy?" and his mom replied "I don't know, you'll have to ask the doggy." and smiled at me, so I knelt down so and the kid started to pet my muzzle but then she just stopped and went into a full-out hug. It was cute. Oh, /and/ I guess that'll give Don and I extra time to play around with different paw ideas (I'm considering a new pair of handpaws for Melody, made completely of fleece). :3

Atleast today is gonna be a lot better than yesterday (I had a pretty bad day yesterday).
I'm really excited. My school newspaper does a thing near the end of the year called "10 Most Interesting Seniors", and one of my friends who is on newspaper (she's one of many who takes photos) let me know that I've been chosen as one of them because the teacher herd I make mascot costumes! :D And, right on que, I got a note a few periods later friend the newspaper teacher with all of the information (when I need to be there, what I need to bring, etc). I and the other 9 will be excused from 3rd period next Thursday to get our photos taken, and I'm gonna bring Milkyway since the note said to bring "something that symbolized [my] personality and makes me interesting and can be used in the individual photograph". bwhahaha!

NOW. This may not sound like a huge deal but my school newspaper isn't a small thing. It's HUGE. We have local business ADVERTISING in it it's such a big deal, and it actually looks like a /real/ newspaper with a sports and entertainment sections and etc related to our school and some global things. So I'm SERIOUSLY excited to have been chosen as one of ten (out of A LOT of kids...my school has over 3,500 kids in it) to be in this. :D I'll scan a copy when I get the finished thing. -glee-

And out of the seven 3 of them are pretty much retired for assorted reasons:

--one is only being kept because I remake him every year to see how much I've improved...I don't actually wear him (Kudos V2, if you remember him)
--another was received in a trade but I need to rip her eyes out and make a better pair (the maker gave me permission :P) because the current ones are creepy and I'm really OCD when it comes to eyes
--the third was also received in a trade but the ventilation is terrible and I don't like using a fan in my fursuit heads so I'm gonna fix him up and eventually sell him o: Plus he doesn't look very good as a partial LOL.

The others that I actually /wear/ consist of Chickadee, my coyote (who I'm not wearing right now just because I need to make her new paws and haven't gotten around to it yet), Pensive (my commissioned suit of my fursona), Milkyway (a fullsuit my mate and I made), and soon Melody, only the head of whom is being commissioned because she was specifically designed so that her head could go with the body, hand, and footpaws of Milkyway and I just have to make a tail for her. xD

And of course that isn't even counting the fact that before I cleaned out my closet a few weeks ago I had SEVENTEEN fursuit heads in there. Seventeen. Ten of these seventeen were made by me in the last two years, and of that ten, /all/ of which were TERRIBLE (and un-fixable) so I threw most of them away and am now left with seven. XD And they really /were/ un-fixable...the only thing I salvaged was the necks and backs of the heads, to use as hair tufts. :P

So for the lazies who don't wanna read all that...

The Short Version:
1. Kudos - made by me; not worn, just re-made every year to see how much I've improved
2. Maya - received in a trade with Moxie; I need to re-make her eyes....eventually.
3. Pencil - received in a trade with Chilly; to be fixed up and sold at a furmeet
4. Chickadee - made by me; I need to make her new handpaws before I wear her again
5. Pensive - commissioned
6. Milkyway - made by myself and Don
7. Melody - commissioned head, to be used with Milkyway's paws/body with a new tail (alternating)

READ THIS. You'll laugh...I promise. :D

"The angel and I watched The Wizard of Oz together on television last night and the scene at the gates of Oz reminded me of when Joshua and I were at the monastery gate. Raziel said he identified with Glinda, Good With of the North. (I would have thought flying monkey, but I believe his choice was a blond one.) I have to admit that I felt some sympathy for the scarecrow, although I don't believe I would have been singing about the lack of a brain. In fact, amid all the musical laments over not having a heart, a brain, or the nerve, did anyone notice that they didn't have a penis among them? I think it would have shown on the Lion and the Tin Man, and when the Scarecrow has his pants destuffed, you don't see a flying monkey waving an errant straw Johnson around anywhere, do you? I think I know what song I'd be singing:

Oh, I would while away the hour,
Wanking in the flowers, my heart all full of song,
I'd be gilding all the lilies as I waved about my willie
If I only had a schlong.

And sudden it occured to me, as I composed the above opus, that although Raziel had always seemed to have the aspect of a male, I had no idea if there were even genders among the angels. After all, Raziel was the only one I'd ever seen. I leapt from my chair and confronted him in the midst of an afternoon Looney Tunes festival.
"Raziel, do you have equipment?"
"Equipment?"
"A package, a taliwacker, a unit, a dick---do you have one?"
"No," said the angel, perplexed that I would be asking. "Why would I need one?"
"For sex. Don't angels have sex?"
"Well, yes, but we don't use those."
"So there are female angels and male angels?"
"Yes."
"And you have sex with female angels."
"Correct."
"With what do you have sex?"
"Female angels, I just told you."
"No, do you have a sex organ?"
"Yes."
"Show me?"
"I don't have it with me."
"Oh." I realized there are some things I'd really rather not know about."

~Lamb by Christopher Moore
(pages 189-190)

If you haven't read the book...DO IT. I've read it three times now and it's seriously the best book I've ever read. xD

Note: I /did/ alter her ears slightly because they didn't show up well because of the hair. Design error on my part. :/ Thankfully Midori just sewed the ears like that with a few threads so I easily clipped them and now they flop about all cute-like. :D I like them this way because they're like...half floppy lol. ANYWAY.
Thanks to Moxie and James for letting us stay with them! I had a great weekend, both at the Boardwalk and just chilling at your house. Jase, it was great seeing you again...come visit Texas some time! <3 Hope to see y'all at A-kon in a few months. :)

Oh, and Joy? I want your rabbit. XD HOLY CRAP SHE'S BIG.

More pictures: http://s483.photobucket.com/albums/rr199/charliedog2008/ (the first 26)
Videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3H_KH1zR2w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B045UuB-BBY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykUCJKVPP2c

Overview of the boardwalk:

It was LOTS of fun! :D We got there around 2, suited up, and got out on the Boardwalk around 3. There were so many people and kids there we couldn't take two steps without being bombarded by people either wanting hugs or photos. No bad experiences this time, and I last about 2 and a half hours in suit which was good for me hehe. A few fun tidbits:

--Almost everyone knew I was a rabbit! Only two people called me a dog and I hopped up and down and they realized I was a rabbit. So yay for that! :D

--No one was afraid of me this time. Another yay! It was also cool to see how many different age groups loved us! I got everyone from 2 or 3 year olds to 30 or 40 year olds wanting hugs and photos. Even teenagers! wh00t.

--There was only little girl who didn't want to let me go. Every time she saw me she came up to me, and at one point she went to hug my legs and just started walking in circles around my legs for a while, still holding on to me. XD It was really cute. Even when her parents picked her up to carry her away she reached out to try and give me another hug hehe.

Overall? GREAT experience. Totally going back again for the 4th of July thing. :) Oh, and just for fun...my two favorite photos: http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr98/PensivePup/Photos/Boardwalk%20Fun/BoardwalkMilkyway2.jpg and http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr98/PensivePup/Photos/Boardwalk%20Fun/BoardwalkMilkyway.jpg

- - - - - - - - - - - -

In other fun news...Scarborough! :D I'm trying to gather a group of furs to go with Don and I to Scarborough this weekend (or possibly next weekend, depending on if my paws get here in time) since it started a few days ago. I plan to wear Pensive with a red renaissance dress I have. I'll have to alter the dress a bit to make it work with a partial suit, but that's fine with me...I never wear it anyway. :P

To any locals interested in coming, you can find my info post here. Sorry about the unsure date. ^^;; Since I'm only going once I really want to bring Pensive (I've had that planned for over a year now lol).
